The ATI conducts action studies and provides policy support to address systemic bottlenecks and transform the agriculture sector. This is delivered through the Analytics Team, the in-house strategy advisory consulting function, and the Policy & Food Systems Team, which works on high-impact policy study and development.
The Policy and Study vertical directly delivers on ATI’s core mandate of conducting studies and providing policy support. The vertical also supports the delivery of the other mandate areas such as piloting innovative programs/projects, linkage and coordination, and capacity building. This vertical includes two teams namely Analytics (Agricultural transformation study program) and Policy & Food Systems. The Analytics Team is an in-house strategic advisory and consulting function that conducts studies for internal and external clients to generate innovative solutions for the agricultural systemic bottlenecks across the value chain to ultimately drive the transformation of the sector. The Policy & Food Systems Team executes high-impact policy-related assignments, including coordinating the implementation of the Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD) Policy reform, while the Ethiopian Food Systems (EFS) aims to transform the country into industrialized lower-middle-income country by 2025 and contribute to the country’s broader Homegrown Economic Reform Agenda.
