Analytics

The ATI has a clear delivery model for studies via its strategic unit – the Analytics Team. The Analytics Team mirrors an international strategy and management consulting firm, where all studies serve an internal or external ‘client’, with a Steering Committee guiding the work, and analysis informed by technical experts from the client team as well as other external partners and primary research.

The Analytics Team  delivers action-oriented studies that identify systemic bottlenecks in Ethiopia’s agricultural systems and proposes and designs solutions for these bottlenecks.  The Team conducts studies in four major areas including Internal Organizational Enhancements (e.g., Ops process and structure enhancement, HR Performance Management System Redesigning), Business Case & Market Analysis (e.g. EIH Business Case Analysis, Avocado Export Opportunities and Regulations, Sugarcane Productivity Enhancement), National Strategies and Policies (e.g. National Irrigation Plan, Afar Regional Agricultural Development Plan, Enhanced Oilseed Production), and Project Related (e.g. DREAM Scaleup Design, Wheat Commercialization, ACC Digitalization Project Design).

In the last few years,  the Analytics team has increased its external orientation, particularly regarding non-MoA entities, with high profile cases involving EIH, EABC, REDFS, etc. Additionally, National Strategies & Policy work have gained weight, after some years of very limited expression (2010-2012)
